Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports

Our school uses PBIS to appropriate behaviors. This national program focuses on rewarding positive social and emotional behaviors to teach students to be successful members of our community.

Teachers use Class DOJO daily to reward students with points and as a consequence by taking points away. Parents can have access to this program and see how their students are doing instantly. These points are used to determine students' conduct grades and as a part of their placement in the quarterly PBIS celebration. Attendance is another factor in this placement.

Golden Cub Paws are given to students who go above and beyond in their behavior. Students are recognized in front of their peers and sent to put their Golden Cub Paw in the office for a celebration. Each week, students are drawn from the grade levels and recognized on the school news and the hallway bulletin board.
